Music Production Classes

Do you want to release your own music?

The Centre for Music Performance and the Cambridge University Music Production Society have teamed up to provide Music Production Classes. If you’re interested in producing or songwriting, this opportunity can help you learn the skills you need to take your music to the next level.

Classes will be led by local professional singer/songwriter/producer Chris Andrews and there will be two sessions available:

Beginners (6.30pm-8.00pm) welcome followed by an intermediate/advanced session (8.00pm-9.30pm).

Sessions are held in the Music Faculty Computer Room.

Lent Dates

  • Thursday 25 January 2024 at 6.30pm – 9.30pm
  • Thursday 8 February 2024 at 6.30pm – 9.30pm
  • Thursday 22 February 2024 at 6.30pm – 9.30pm
  • Thursday 7 March 2024 at 6.30pm – 9.30pm

Spaces will be limited. Session sign-ups open in the week prior to each session.

These sessions are primarily based on Logic Pro, using our iMacs, but additional spaces will be open for students wanting to bring their own laptop to use their own software. For Windows users, we recommend Ableton Live.
