Fitz Swing

Fitz Swing is Cambridge University’s longest-running big band. Operating since 1990, we have a strong focus on music from the swing era – think Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Ella Fitzgerald. Our repertoire also extends to more modern big band numbers as well as arrangements put together by members of the ensemble. We’re regular fixtures at events in and around Cambridge, having played probably every May Ball and June event at some point over the years, and we have in the past toured to Prague, Berlin and New York.

We rehearse at Fitzwilliam College on Monday evenings and are an auditioned ensemble.
