Cam Choral Experience

Are you aged 11 – 18? Do you love to sing?

The Cam Choral Experience takes place on a weekend in June every year and provides a day of activities designed to give secondary-school students a taste of what singing at Cambridge might be like, as well as promoting music and singing more generally.

The morning consists of vocal workshops, repertoire sessions, and admissions talks. In the afternoon there is a chance to take a walking tour of Cambridge and the colleges with current student singers (plenty of time to ask questions about what it’s really like to sing at Cambridge!), followed by a final rehearsal and performance to friends and family in one of Cambridge’s magnificent college chapels.

For parents/carers there is an Admissions Talk and Q&A session in the morning, and an invitation to come and hear the final performance.

The day generally runs from 10:00 to 17:00, and is free-of-charge to all participants, who must be state-educated and aged between 11 and 18.

The 2024 Cam Choral Experience will take place on Saturday 22 June (school years 7-9) and Sunday 23 June (school years 10-13). Applications are now open! The deadline for receipt of applications is 15 May 2024Please note that you will be required to provide a reference from a teacher or other suitably-qualified person, and it is your responsibility to ensure this reaches us by the deadline.
