PROGRAMME: Schubert – Die schöne Müllerin

Die schöne Müllerin is performed by the outstanding German-Romanian baritone Konstantin Krimmel, who has achieved a number of competition successes, including 1st prize at the International Helmut Deutsch Lied Competition and is a BBC New Generation Artist and member of the Bavarian State Opera. He has already been heard to great acclaim in recitals at London’s Wigmore Hall, Kölner Philharmonie, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Konzerthaus Berlin, Oper Frankfurt, Heidelberger Frühling, Schubertíada de Vilabertran, Schubertiade Schwarzenberg, as well as appearances in Madrid, Strasbourg, Nuremberg and Hohenems and at the Oxford International Song Festival.

“Konstantin Krimmel is only 28 years old, and already he is one of the greats in the Lied field. The maturity, differentiation and perfection of his technically simply brilliant singing left a deep impression. At the same time, his interpretative approach seems completely natural, each song seems to be experienced, its expressive content is grasped and explored – and last but not least, the lyrics are declaimed flawlessly and clearly” – Review, Krone Zeitung Tirol.
