This instalment of the Lunchtime Concert series is a two part concert.

In the first part, a student string quartet comprised of Jeremy Weinstein, Charlotte Howdle, Julius Kiln, and Max Todes plays Haydn’s String Quartet Op.33, No.2. This quartet is nicknamed ‘The Joke’ due to a crafty prank by the masterful composer that keeps the audience guessing as to where the piece ends!

The second part of the concert features Christopher Leung playing Beethoven’s Piano Sonata, Op. 110. This three-movement sonata covers a broad range of emotional territory, moving from the depths of despair to complete euphoria

The Cambridge University Lunchtime Concert series offers a vibrant stage for students and local performers. Open to the public every Tuesday during the University of Cambridge term, these complimentary concerts are well attended. CULCs are curated by a student committee and supported by the Centre for Music Performance.

Free admission with retiring donations gratefully received.
