Cambridge University Symphony Chorus (CUSC) is a busy and vibrant choir of approximately 120 members that gives singers the fantastic opportunity to perform some of the most dramatic and passionate choral music ever written with a focus on repertoire which is rarely performed by the college choirs. CUSC is made up of undergraduate and postgraduate students, staff, alumni, and members of the wider Cambridge community.

The Chorus’ plans for 2023-24 include Mendelssohn’s Elijah at West Road Concert Hall and a performance of Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius at Ely Cathedral followed by a performance and recording of the same work with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and conductor Nicholas Collon in Helsinki.

CUSC’s 2022–23 highlights included performances and a broadcast of Walton’s Belshazzar’s Feast with the Orchestre de Paris, baritone Sir Willard White and conductor Klaus Mäkelä:

If you join Cambridge University Symphony Chorus you will need to become a member of the Cambridge University Musical Society. Membership rates are £20 per year for students and £150 per year for non-students.

You can follow CUSC on Facebook and Twitter.

Cambridge University Symphony Chorus is a Centre for Music Performance ensemble run in partnership with the Cambridge University Musical Society.
