The Choral Awards Open Day takes place in late April/early May each year, and is a chance for you to visit Cambridge and experience for yourself what it might be like to sing in a chapel choir.
The day runs from 10:00 until 18:00 and consists of singing sessions with Cambridge Directors of Music, designed to give you an idea of the skills needed for choral singing, and how to develop them, as well as an overview of what to expect in a Choral Award audition, and how to prepare.
Current student members of Cambridge chapel choirs will be on hand throughout the day to chat informally; there will also be a more formal question-and-answer session with students and Directors of Music.
You will have the chance to meet informally with Directors of Music, and the day will end with a rehearsal and Evensong in one of the chapels, to which parents/carers are also invited.
The next Open Day will take place on Saturday 3 May 2025. Applications will open in early February.
