Members of UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE INSTRUMENTAL AWARDS FOR CHAMBER MUSIC SCHEME

Discover the pinnacle of chamber music artistry with the intercollegiate Instrumental Awards for Chamber Music showcase concert – a celebration of Cambridge University’s exceptional instrumental talent. This performance brings together the brightest musicians who, through mentorship from top UK professionals, craft collaborations in chamber groups, including piano duos, string quartets, and brass ensembles. The awards foster enduring musical partnerships, nurturing the next generation of performers poised for professional careers.

Throughout the year, IAS ensembles refine their skills, embracing a diverse repertoire under the guidance of esteemed mentors, including special masterclasses featuring luminaries like the Emerson String Quartet. Ensembles give regular recitals throughout the year, and the very best are chosen to perform in showcase concerts.

Repertoire and performers to be announced.

The Cambridge University Lunchtime Concert series offers a vibrant stage for students and local performers. Open to the public every Tuesday during the University of Cambridge term, these free concerts are well attended. CULCs are curated by a student committee and supported by the Centre for Music Performance.

Free admission with retiring donations gratefully received.
